THE ARMENIAN WOMEN’S BAR ASSOCIATION was founded in 2022 by a group of Armenian women lawyers, united in their shared determination to create an inclusive community dedicated to inspire, empower, and support fellow Armenian women professionals in the legal world.
Creating a global voice for Armenian women lawyers
Armenian women in the legal community face unique challenges both professionally and personally. To specifically address these issues, the Armenian Women’s Bar Association provides mentorship and guidance by bringing together Armenian women in all walks of their legal careers. The idea is to create a large and diverse network of legal professionals, and to harness their collective expertise for the benefit of future generations.

In 2020, a group of Armenian-American women attorneys and judges met to discuss the unique challenges Armenian women face in the legal community. The dialogue that ensued became the genesis of the Armenian Women’s Bar Association, an organization uniquely positioned to focus on the specific needs of its members by providing mentorship, guidance, and resources to elevate the next generation of women lawyers.
